Singles: You MUST hear this (marrieds, you should too)

Absorbing media aimed at singles has become my own version of gambling.

Pull the lever and hope luck is on my side! Will the media be insightful? Encouraging? Laughable? Completely cringe-worthy? You never know until you jump in!

This weekend when I heard my friends’ church was doing a topical sermon on the subject, I couldn’t resist stopping by. Admittedly, my first reaction was to blindly judge the sermon by its title: Help! I’m Single. Is There Something Wrong With Me? I went in somewhat skeptical, anticipating a predictable “No there is nothing wrong with you; God is working out something special in your life” sort of thing. I was dead wrong.

This is the best (and most challenging) message to singles I’ve ever heard.

Honestly, it doesn’t matter if you’re married, single, or somewhere in between. This message is solid and worth the listen. There are takeaways for everyone here. Perhaps in another post at some point I’ll touch on what in particular challenged me the most in this message. For right now though, I’m going to leave you with Pastor Ken’s sermon:

(Note: if you hit the three dots in the top right hand of the video, you can switch over to audio mode if you so desire. Also if you want to skip to the sermon, drag the bar to 1:30)
