Olan Rogers: My Favorite Entrepreneur.

Olan Rogers is a master of many trades.

Like many popular creators, he is famed for his YouTube presence. Unlike other creators, he runs a brick-and-mortar shop called The Soda Parlor, goes on tour for stand-up comedy, wrote a book called Heaven’s Vault, and produces designs for his other business, Olan Rogers Supply. Not only that, but he is currently commuting between Nashville and LA while he directs and records voice-overs for his upcoming TV show, Final Space. This dude has accomplished more in his life than most of us could ever dream of – all before he turned 30!

Of all the creators I follow, Olan inspires me the most.

He is the biggest hustler I’ve seen in the entrepreneurial world and he has an amazing attitude and work ethic. Olan states his philosophy in his YouTube description and I wholeheartedly agree with it: “What you love to do shouldn’t be defined by how much money, fame, or worldly desires you acquire but by how much fun it is to be doing something you love”. While most people follow him online for his comedic videos, I follow his social media because I appreciate his take on life and business.

This is why:

He believes in the value of good, hard work.

He is committed to his values.

He wants the best for others.

He is persistent.

He stays positive.

He appreciates his supporters.

He interacts with his fans & commenters.

I am not even going to try to screencap proof of this from his media. You can see it for yourself on Facebook and other social sites. Despite how busy Olan is, he always makes time to reply to a good chunk of the comments left on his posts.

The moral of the story?

Do what you love. Recognize those who help you. Work hard. Don’t stray from your values. Be authentic. Be kind. Put fame and fortune out of your mind.

These are the things that Olan Rogers has taught me. These are what make him both loved and successful. These are the traits I hope to emulate in my own life.

Oh, and remember…
