Movie outtakes can be really fun, but do you ever see portrait photography outtakes?

I’ve been taking senior portraits for a few years now. One of my favorite things is looking through the shoots and finding those awkward unposed moments. The thing is, I wouldn’t want to embarrass teenagers by posting those online without consent. Today, however, I was told I needed to deliver some up-to-date headshots of myself to some folks. Along with said headshots, I caught a handful of candid moments as I recklessly held down the remote shutter button.

In all honesty, I enjoy these photos far more than the professional headshots I set out to capture.

Oh, yeah, and I can be serious too, I guess.
